Apartment Living in Ireland: episode 3

Using the shower The shower is not as complex as it may seem. The main thing to remember is the pulley by the bathroom door. This turns the water for the shower on and off. You will know it is on when the red light is on. To use the shower simply pull the string to show the red light and next, go over to the shower area. There are several knobs/buttons on the shower. The first is to control the water flow. There are 3 settings: high pressure & heat (indicated by the 3 red lines), medium pressure and heat (indicated by the 2 red lines) and energy saver/cold (indicated by the blue mark). Once you choose the setting you want (most of us used the 2 or 3 red lines) you can then use the larger knob to pick your temperature setting. This is best done when the shower is running. You turn on the shower by simply pushing the button at the bottom (under the 2 knobs). We have found that the best settings seem to be the medium pressure/heat and a high temperature setting (8-10) or the high pressure/heat with a medium temperature setting (4-6). When you are done using the shower simply push the power button and don’t forget to pull the string again to turn off the water (the red light will go off). Using the stove To turn on the stove and oven area you need to first make sure the red switch behind the stove area is on. When the switch is pushed in at the bottom it is on and when it is pushed in at the top it is off. After you turn the switch on, the rest of the stove area is much like
