thanks Michael, i cant wait either, like any of? my projects, things do drag abit.
i am planing to complete it in few month.

Nice test. Just a question: why have you kept the same rotor size for the 36 magnets instead of keeping the same space between magnets, thus increasing the diameter of the second rotor? My engineering mind tells me that your test is valid, with the constraint of keeping the same rotor diameter. If you are flexible in the rotor diameter, i would assume better results with the 36? magnets rotor, which in that case the conclusions would be to use 36 magnets.
Good test setup you have in any case.

Looks good I run my PJ 600w @ 200-220w max any more and I just add one? more inverter.

jedufa, you are correct, in oder to use the 36pole i should have increased the diameter of the magnet disc and coil, that is the correct adjustment to fix the coil output. but i do not want to increase the size of the discs, and i tried to show that it is not possible trade? off. yes, the 36 pole will produce more under the correct coil/magnet relationship

looks great. My shunt is just inline with my +.So +shunt+ then my amp meter hooks to the small screws on each end.One wire on one end then the other on the other? end.I hope this helps this is how mine is and it works.TAKE CARE

GOOD MORNING SAM, THE WIDTH OF THE WINDINGS IS JUST WIDE ENOUGH TO FIT BETWEEN THE MAGNETS, SO THE MAGNET FLUX PATH GOES IN A CIRCLE AROUND THE WIRE HELPED BY THE 2 MAGNETS ON BOTH SIDES. SO YOU ARE IN EFFECT USING THE FORCE OF 3 MAGNETS.
ON THE 36 POLE ROTOR, WITH COIL OR NOT, THE MAGNETS ARE SO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER THAT THE FLUX IS WASTED BY THE FLUX TRAVELING STRAIGHT ACROSS FROM MAGNET TO MAGNET INSTEAD OF OUT THROUGH THE COILS.
AND YOU ARE RIGHT,,, THE ADJACENT MAGNETS ARE? CANCELING

ALSO THE MAGNETIC FLUX DOESNT GO AROUND THE COIL WITH HELP FROM ADJACENT MAGNETS. IN EFFECT THERE IS MUCH CANCELLATION OF FLUX AROUND? THE WIRE AS YOU SAID.
GREAT JOB AND WONDERFULLY SET UP EXPERIMENT. THANKS FOR SHARING.
YOUR EXPERIMENT HAS GIVEN ME ANOTHER IDEA.

Couple of issues for you to consider:
Each 300w PJ GTI draws around 5-6 watts from the AC at night.
Each 600w PJ GTI draws around 10-12 watts from the AC at night.
So, based on your system (3x5w + 2x10w) = 35w per hour.
At this time of year 11 hours X 35w = 385w AC power draw
In Winter 17 hours x 35w = 595w AC power draw.

Now, work out how long it will take your system to generate the above power before you actually start making net power into the grid.
It? can be a bit sobering..

Scott, thanks and i was waiting for your reply because it means great deal, because you also know alot more info than me. by the way, i got the bridge diots and i treid what you suggested, with the 5 B.R. i get alots of voltas losses and it was 15% more losses than the ladder diots that you sent me,? is that makes sense to you?

thanks
